We are pleased to announce that the EVS Disk Type Change feature is now available. This feature allows you to conveniently change the disk types of an EVS disk. The functionality is available via the console/user interface and API.
To use it on the console, simply click on “More” / “Modify Specifications.” A window will then open. There, simply select the desired disk type you want to change to. The process may take some time. We recommend to setup CTS Key Event Notifications via “retypeVolume” of the EVS resource type.
Please note the following rules for switching:
- Common IO Disk Type can switch to all disk types.
- High IO Disk Type can only switch to SSD types.
- All SSD Disk Types can switch to all SSD types.
