As part of the upcoming end of “Extended Support” for Windows Server 2016, the provision of the corresponding Server Images will be discontinued. Microsoft will stop providing security updates on January 12, 2027. The final Windows Server 2016 Images are scheduled to be released on January 13, 2027.
After this date, no further regular Image Releases for Windows Server 2016 are planned.
We recommend reviewing existing systems at an early stage and planning the migration to a supported Windows Server version accordingly.
