The latest Domain Name Service update, released on 13th October 2026 only in EU-DE, continues the development of the new DNS architecture, providing a scalable, stable, and secure foundation for public, private, and hybrid-cloud DNS services.

Key features
Better connectivity:
- DNS Resolver enables bidirectional DNS communication between cloud and on-premises environments connected through Direct Connect or VPN.
- Inbound and outbound endpoints, together with configurable resolver rules, provide flexible control of DNS forwarding between on-premises systems and cloud domains.
More flexibility:
- Recursive resolution can be enabled for subdomains in private zones that are not locally configured.
Better performance:
- Improved UDP resolution performance and reduced overload risks.
Automation:
- Batch filtering for zones and record sets, improved resolver API responses, and optimized IP address list management simplify administration, while an IP address count inconsistency was resolved.
Overall, customers benefit from more flexibility, better control, simpler administration, and more operational reliability.
