CCE and CCE Turbo now support Kubernetes v1.34 in both EU-DE and EU-NL regions. This release introduces capabilities that improve control plane robustness, storage recovery, workload lifecycle control, API efficiency, and day-to-day operational usability.
The important changes are:
- DataPlane V2 upgraded: CCE's DataPlane V2 has been upgraded to v3.0.1, corresponding to Cilium community v1.18.
- DataPlane V2 now supports Ubuntu: Starting with this version, DataPlane V2 also supports Ubuntu worker nodes, in addition to the already-supported HCE 2.0 OS.
- Easier storage recovery: Storage expansion handling is improved, making it easier to recover from failed volume expansion attempts without recreating resources.
- Better job replacement: Workloads that run as jobs now replace failed pods in a more controlled way, which helps avoiding premature restarts and improves execution reliability.
- Faster API response handling: API server cache improvements help serve some requests more efficiently, which can improve responsiveness in large or busy clusters.
Important notes:
- CCE v1.34 will be the last CCE version to support EulerOS. Starting with the next CCE version, EulerOS will no longer be supported. Customers currently using EulerOS are strongly advised to begin planning and executing their migration as early as possible to ensure a smooth upgrade path.
- According to our Kubernetes Version Support Mechanism, CCE v1.30 will no longer be supported as of the end of November 2026. Please upgrade older clusters as soon as possible.
The feature changes in CCE v1.34 are described in Help Center. Further information about Kubernetes 1.34 can be found in Kubernetes 1.34 release notes and K8s release announcement.
