We are excited to announce that the new x2* Flexible Purpose ECS families are now available in both Germany and the Netherlands.
With this expansion, you can now provision ECS instances across a broad range of vCPU:Memory ratios:
- x2: General purpose with ratios 1:2, 1:3, and 1:4.
- x2e: Compute optimized with ratios 1:2, 1:3, and 1:4.
- x2m: Memory optimized with a 1:8 ratio.
- x2ne: Network enhanced with ratios 1:2, 1:3, and 1:4 (only in CCE Turbo).
All existing ECS Flexible Purpose families, including x1 and the new x2 portfolio, are available for Elastic / Pay-As-You-Go consumption only. Flexible Purpose instances are registered in the ECS Service and can be created and managed like other ECS instances, including resizing and migration from existing general-purpose, compute-optimized or memory-optimized families.
The new instances are available immediately on the T Cloud Public console, via API, and through infrastructure-as-code tools. Backups can be created with Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR), and the full system can be secured with the Host Security Service (HSS). Try them now in T Cloud Public.
